On the road to Kigali, the Eagles beat Rwanda heavily with the score of 3-0 . They goals are from Djenepo, Koné and Coulibaly respectively in the 19th, 20th and 88th minutes. With this great and magnificent victory, the Eagles qualify for the third round of Group E of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Africa zone. Benin and Ghana will each have a final to play on Day 6 to secure theirs.
Uganda, which has so far been on the heels of Mali, drew against Kenya (1-1). A poor performance which therefore opened the doors of the third round to the Malians. The players of coach Mohamed Magassouba remain unbeaten (4 wins and a draw) for the moment in this campaign. Coulibaly’s teammates join Senegal’s Lions and Morocco’s Atlas Lions in the third and final round qualifiers.
As a reminder, only the first of each groups are qualified for a third round where, in a round-trip confrontation, they will face another winner for a place in the final phase of the 2022 World Cup.
