A few months after taking commands as main enterprise in charge of completing the Olembe Sports Complex, Canadian Firm Magil, has given assurances to Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Pr. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi that the stadium shall be ready by the month July this year. After a first phase of evaluation to observe work that has been done and what is still to do, Magil engineers set to work.
On an inspection visit last Wednesday on the site, Minister Narcisse Mouelle who double as president of the National Organising Committee COCAN hoped to see a significant in the work done. After every passage in particular area of the stadium, the sports boss posed questions to Magil workers to have assurances.
The minister’s attention caught by the drainage works that had been done by Piccini former contractor which was been completely redone at fresh. Magil officials guaranteed the COCAN president that the green turf will be planted on the main stadium come April this year and its annex.
Emmanuel Compain, head of the Magil Constructions, told the Minister that works will be accelerated in the days ahead with the recruitment of more workers. However, the sports Minister insisted that Magil should speed-up works considering CAF deadlines.
At the end of his rounds, Minister Mouelle Kombi while talking to press, expressed optimism and equally lauded the efforts put in by the Governor of Centre Region who is constantly on alert to provide solutions for any eventual problems.
