Karl Toko Ekambi is October’s La Liga’s player of the month player. The Cameroon striker who plies his trade with Villareal was nominated for the trophy alongside three other players that is Lucas Perez of Alaves former Arsenal striker and Rui Silva of Granada who plays with fellow Cameroonian Yan Eteki.
Toko Ekambi beat his two opponents thanks to his three goals in five appearances within the period. The former SCO Angers goal poacher scored Villareal’s loan goal in their victory against Espanyol and netted a brace in his club’s win over Alaves.
The 27 year-old Indomitable Lions is regaining his goal scoring form he had while playing for Angers in his Ligue 1 hey days. Called up by Antonio Conceicao for the Indomitable Lions double confrontation against Rwanda and Cape Verde on November 13 and 17, 2019 respectively, Karl Toko Ekambi’s scoring form will be of great importance.
