The 2019/2020 National Interpools is sure very peculiar. Volcan of Noun suspended by FECAFOOT’s Commission of Appeal for using ineligible players during the playoff was replaced by Riziere of Noun. However, the Chamber of Conciliation for Sports Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC) overruled the decision and reinstated them to represent the West Region five five days into the competition.
Volcan Noun was already on the competition ground and had to play their first encounter against Ngaoundéré FC. But the club was replaced by Riziere Noun and suspended for two years one day to the competition.
But a release signed by FECAFOOT Secretary General Benjamin Banlock, reinstated Volcan of Noun and a new programme for the competition was drawn. The reinstatement of Volcan of Noun nullified Ngaoundere FC (4-1) day one victory and the match pitting the Adamawa club versus Volcan will be reprogrammed for later date.
The decision to reinstate Volcan of Noun as West Region representative by the Chamber of Conciliation for Sports Arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee has raised a lot of controversy. That notwithstanding, the club of the West beat Olympique Biwoung-bane (0-2) in pool A for their first outing.
