The Indomitable Lionesses have lost two places in the recent FIFA women’s rankings. The Lionesses however, maintained their second position on the African standings despite their drop.
The Lionesses moved from the 49th position to the 51st on the rankings that were released last Friday by the World football governing body. The girls of Coach Alain Djeumfa were surprisingly eliminated by the Copper Queens of Zambia in the last round of the Olympic Games qualifiers on the away goal rule (4-4) aggregate score.
The Lionesses however, still have a chance to part of the Olympics as they play Chile in a two
legged Intercontinental-playoff to determine who grabs the last ticket available for the Games.
