Indomitable Lions players in the diaspora had an impressive with their clubs this weekend. In the England, one of the blockbuster fixtures was the one pitting Chelsea against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Leader of the English Premier League and unbeaten since the beginning of the season, Liverpool was facing their first real adversary. The club of the Mersey did not tremble as the won the match (1-2) thanks to an excellent Joel Matip.
The Cameroonian centre back was excellent and was named man of the match. The 28-year-old defender has been very precious for the Reds since the start of the season. Liverpool’s victory permitted them to maintain their five point margin over Manchester City. Liverpool’s victory regalvanized the club as Jurgen Klopp’s players lost in midweek Champions League opener against Napoli.
Over in Switzerland Jeam Nsame goal scoring spree continued as the forward netted the equalizer for his club Young Boys as they played FC Basel. Nsame is currently the top goal scorer of the Swiss Super League with seven goals. In Belgium, Didier Lamkel Ze scores twice in the match between Cercle Bruges royal and Antwerp. He made a big contribution to the Cercle Bruges 3-1 win over Antwerp. In Spain, Allan Nyom scored his first of the season with Getafe. He scored the 3-0 goal for Madrid against Mallorca who will finally win 4-2.
