As hosts, the Home-based Lions will play the opening match or the tournament on April 4, 2020 in the Yaounde Omnisports stadium against Zimbabwe at 5pm. The fixture will immediately be followed by the confrontation between Mali versus Burkina Faso at 8pm on the same stadium.
Douala who will host two groups during the tournament, take the relay on April 5, 2020. The newly constructed 60, 0000 capacity Japoma stadium will play host of a derby between DR Congo against Republic of Congo at 5pm while in the Bepanda Omnisports stadium reigning champions Morocco start defending their 2018 title against Togo.
The Limbe stadium on April 7, 2020 will host the Zambia against Tanzania group D match.
The quarter-finals matches start on April 17, and end on April 18, 2020. The four matches will be played on in the four stadiums host the competitions that is the Omnisports stadium, the Japoma stadium, Bepanda stadium and the Limbe Omnisports stadium.
On April 21-22, 2020 semi-finals fixtures of the CHAN shall be played at the Japoma and Limbe stadiums while the fixture for the third place take on April 24,2020 still o Douala at Bepanda.
The 3 weeks football bonanza will draw it’s curtains In Yaounde at the Yaounde Omnisport stadium on April 25 at 8pm. All is therefore set for Cameroon to welcome Africa for the 6th edition of CHAN.
